Our Trip to the Rocky Shore and the Touch the Sea Aquarium

Bejamin Bear was very excited that he was getting to go on the Room 3, 2 & 1's trip to the Rocky Shore and the Touch the Sea Aquarium.

Here is Taylor, Mark, Jack and Benjamin Bear in the car on the way to the Rocky Shore.

Room 3 went to the Rocky Shore first. We had a great time looking for all the different creatures we could find.

After the Rocky Shore we went to the Touch the Sea Aquarium and meet a man called Richard. He taught us lots of things about fish.

He even dressed Bailey Puata in our class as a fish.

We saw lots of amazing animals like crabs, Eels, Stingrays, sharks, turtles, sea horses (Miss T favourite), squid, Octopus and many others.(look at the slideshow below of some of those animals. Zoe took the amazing photos)

After the Touch the Sea Aquarium we came back to the Rocky Shore and ate our lunch before our afternoon of activities.

One of our activities was sketching the rocky shore.

We got to play on the playground and Miss T did too!

Here is Nicole going down the slide.

We played rob the rock pools. We had parents against children. Children think that they won and the parents thought that they won! We couldn't decide so we did a draw.

Walk To School Day

Walk to School Day

Today we had a walk to school day. We lined up and hung out with our friends. We walked for half an hour. My Buddy was my Dad. We saw cars, trucks and at the corner was a policeman. When we got to school we got a lollipop and a balloon. Some people got prizes but I didn't get one. I felt sad!

By Bailey Puata

Today our school went to Chings Road. When we got there we had to line up in our class rooms. We had to walk to school. I hung out with my friends. My buddy was Ruby. She was a great buddy and she made sure I was safe. When we walked along we saw sheep and heaps of orchards. When we got back to school we walked through the gate and got a lollipop and a balloon. I didn't win a prize. I felt very happy because I walked to school.

By Genesis

We walked to school on Wednesday. My buddy was my brother Ricki. We were talking to each other. He looked after me. Miss Taylor was carrying my bag. I saw a policeman and his car lights were flashing. We got lollipops and we went to the hall to get some prizes. I didn't get one. I felt good!

Well Done to the Weetbix Kids Triathalon Children

Well done to those who participated in the Weetbix Triathalon. I really enjoyed watching you all take part in such a great event. While Room 3 could not compete as we were too young, it was great to see so many children from Room 3 last year taking part.
