Junior Cross Country

Finally! After many false starts and wetness, we finally had a run of sunny days long enough to be able to run our Junior Cross Country. There was a tremendous amount of excitement in the air as the kids waited their turn. As you will see, there was a sea of smiles, as the children ran their little legs off, and their hearts out. It was especially terrific to see our pre-schoolers have a go, (and then ask if they could do it again!)and also a few brave parents (who didn't ask to do it again...)! Anyway, enjoy the photos...
I would also like to welcome Izzy to our class. She has joined us in the last week or 2, and has instantly settled. Her younger sister Phoebe is in Room 2. This, in some way offsets the loss of Angelica, who, along with her sister Chloe, is off to Brightwater School. We will miss having Angelica's bright cheery smile in Room 3, and wish her and her family all the best.

Term 3

Term 3 is well under way and looks to be one of the busiest terms ever! Production practises (of The Cabbage Patch Dragon) are going strong, and the show is looking like it will be terrific! I know that the kids are learning their songs, as I am hearing them again and again... and again... I would also like to welcome Brooke to our class. She (and her Brother Aiden) has joined us from North Canterbury, and is settling into the class routines well. We are also fortunate to have Miss Kirsty Dear working with us until week 5. She is on her last school placement before graduating from the Christchurch College of Education. All in all, there is a lot going on in Room 3- come in and check it out!
