Welcome back to Term 2
Welcome back to term 2 Room 3. I hope you all had a safe and happy holiday.
We have a very busy term ahead of us.
We will be moving back into our newly renovated classroom in a couple of weeks, in the meantime we will enjoy hanging out in the hall.
We have our trip to Bishop's School and Founders park this Wednesday to wind up our topic on School 100 years ago.
We have the cross country, school disco, school photo competition and lots more exciting things to look forward to.
I look forward to another exciting term filled with lots of fun moments, hard work and enjoying each others company.

Benjamin Bear goes home with ....
Harrison
I love the way you respect others right to learn Harrison. You put up your hand and you don't distract others. What a role model! Well done Harrison.
Here is Harrison's weekend with Benjamin Bear

On Friday evening I made Benjamin Bear a bear sized bed from shoe boxes for him to sleep in.
On Friday afternoon I drew this picture of Benjamin Bear.
On Saturday Benjamin and I played on the scooters. Then we helped Mum with some gardening. Later on that day we took Benjamin out in our big, blue boat. We had fish and a BBQ tea on the boat. Benjamin and I caught a little fish called a herring.
On Sunday morning Benjamin and I did some paintings with my easel. Benjamin and I drew a car. In the afternoon we had fun playing swing ball together and bouncing on the tramp.
Thank you Benjamin for coming to my house.

Benjamin Bear goes home with ....

Well done Georgia on being a friendly and polite student. I like the way you take pride in your work. Well done Georgia. Keep it up!
Here is Georgia's story about her time with Benjamin Bear.

On Friday afternoon Benjamin bear came home with me no the bus. He had fun. When we got home we watched cartoons next we went to Georgie's house to play. Then we went home. When we got home we had dinner. Then Benjamin Bear went to bed. Then a big thunder storm came and woke Benjamin Bear up. So I went to check on him. He was scared so I cudddled him with Mum. Next we both went to bed.
On Saturday Benjamin Bear and I woke up early in the morning to watch cartoons. After that we drove to the Naked Bun. Mum had a muffin adn I had a custard square. Benjamin Bear wanted Mum's muffin! Next we went to the playground. After playing we went to the wharf. At the wharf we saw boats and seagulls. I had a big mixed berry ice cream. Once I had finished my ice cream we drove to the Warehouse in Motueka. We did some shopping and came home. At home we went for a swim and a spa. Benjamin Bear enjoyed watching us swim. Then we went to bed.
On Sunday Benjamin Bear and I woke up at 7:30am to watch What Now. Then we went to Kaiterteri . First we had fun playing on the swings and slide. I liked playing on the monkey bars. After playing on the playground we went to the beach and had an ice cream. Benjamin Bear liked sitting on the seat. Once I had finished my icecream we went to playon the flying fox. Next we went home. When we got home I did some drawings while Benjamin Bear watched.
I think Benjamin Bear had a good weekend with me. I loved playing with Benjamin Bear.

Football Training is all finished...
Well after four weeks of Football training with George, I know alot of Room 3 children have been inspired to play Football.

Weetbix Tryathlon
Congratulations to all the children at Lower Moutere School who competed in the Weetbix Tryathlon.
Well done to those children in Room 3 who were old enough to compete and who took part. They were Myah, Ebon, Ethan, Charlie, Jack D and Bayley.

Benjamin Bear goes home with ....

On Saturday we went to the river for a swim. Benjamin stayed on the rocks because he thought there were man eating sharks in the river. We swam to some rocks and jumped into the current.
On Sunday we woke up very early to get to the Weetbix Tryathlon. Benjamin wanted to go for a swim but the Police said the beach was closed because of a Tsunami threat. There were 1400 kids racing. Benjamin saw Samuel (my brother) first. After that we went to Burger King. We had a good weekend.

Here is what she got up to with Benjamin Bear

On Saturday Benjamin Bear got to come to Ebon's birthday with me.
First we went to Hot Mumma's for lunch, next we went to the playground. Then we went to the movies and saw Fantastic Mr Fox. Then we went to the Wharehouse and got a movie and went home to Ebon's house and played on the bikes. Then we played mums and dads. The next day we watched Alvin and the chipmunks and then my Dad picked me up.
After lunch we went to my Aunty Vanessa's house. She lives on a farm. One of her cows had a baby calf that was one day old. Benjamin Bear and I got to pat and cuddle the baby calf. She was so cute!
We had a great weekend.
