CCCCC Day

On Friday the 3rd June our class participated in the school's CCCCC day (Crazy, Colourful, Creative, Cool Clothes).

Looking After Ourselves.

Desiree Heywood came to teach us about washing our hands. By Isabel

Desiree works as a nurse. By Paige

Desiree told us if you play in the garden you will still have germs on your hands and she taught us how to wash our hands properly. By Isabella.

We learnt to wash our hands so we don't get germs and don't give germs to others. By Nicole

She read us a story about Tama who didn't wash his hands and got a tummy ache. We learnt all about how germs can make us sick and how it is important to wash between our fingers, finger nails and our palms of our hands. We were told to wash our hands for 1/2 minute which is about the same time as singing Happy Birthday and the same amount of time to dry our hands as germs like the wet and grow much quicker in the wet so we need to make sure we dry our hands properly.

We learnt a saying - Do what you oughta, wash your hands with soap and water.

Bailey Puata was given Benjamin Bear for the weekend for his outstanding behaviour in class. He is a real role model. Bailey is always willing to help and also uses his initiative. Well done Bailey. Keep up the hard work!

Puppet Show in Room 3

Room 7 came to our class to perform 4 puppet shows. The shows perfomed were Tinkerbell, Three Little Pigs, Goldilocks and the Three Bears and The Ugly Duckling.

In this picture they are performing the Three Little Pigs.

We all loved the performance by Mark.

The children had to make the puppets, the stage and the scenery. In this performance the children wrote the puppet show.

I liked the performance about Tinkerbell because when I looked at the stage it looked amazing! By Julius.

I liked the performance about the Ugly Ducklings because they found cool materials to make the props. By Toby

I liked the performance about the Three Little Pigs because they didn't say how the wolf died they just put him down the chimney and said he was dead. By Sam

What an Amazing Display

Below are some pictures of our AMAZING 'Imagine' Artwork. It has all of our artwork that we worked on with Room 5 and also the rest of the schools artwork. We were so proud of our work!

Photo Competition

The school has been involved in a photo competition. Children who entered had to take a photo of their choice. There were 3 different prizes - First Prize, highly commended and People's Choice Award for each of the sections - Junior, Middle and Senior. The People's choice award was voted on by the children in the school of the photo they liked the best out of each section.

We have two winners in our class.

Carlo won the Highly Commended in the Junior Section for his photo called Sky High.

Bailey Puata's photo (Dog in Teddies) of his gorgeous dog was voted the People's Choice for the Junior's by all the children in the school.





Well done to these two children and to the other children who entered. I was one of the judges and it was VERY hard to decide.

Top 5/5 Spellers for Term 1

This is Neo, Julius and Corbin they were our top 5/5 spellers in Term 1. That meant that they got their spelling right every week for the whole term. WOW, you guys are awesome! They got to go into the treasure box for their hard work
