Cross Country
Well, the 2011 cross country has come and gone, and the Room 3 children shone, with their effort and enthusiasm showing on their faces. Here are a few photos of them (and others) to prove my point.

Term 2 underway.
Well, the second term has begun and this one looks to be as busy as term 1. It is another 11 week term, and it is already filling up with things such as visits from Bunnies with degrees, cross country runs and clubs!
Also, we welcome to our class Jack Fowler, a new student who has joined us from Blenheim.
I hope to bring you photos soon of the cross country!

Week 11 already!!
Well, it seems a long time since the last entry, and many things have been and gone in that time, but before we sign off on Term 1 there are a few photos we would like to share. These are some snaps of the dioramas the kids did for homework, based on our topic of Habitats. They looked fantastic, I'm sure you will agree... Apologies to Steph for not getting a photo of her diorama before it went home again.

2011- The year we get our cup back!
Well, it is a new year, with a new crop of students (mostly new, there's a few leftovers from last year!) and a new teacher in Room 3.
2011 promises to be a fun, exciting and busy year for us here at Lower Moutere School, and already the class has shown some terrific work habits and initiative. We are well into our swimming programme, and as long as it stays warm we will keep swimming for a few more weeks.
The class routines are becoming more defined by the day, and the children should be starting to bring things home in their zippits (homework book, reading book, poetry book, notices).
On Monday we have our Meet the Teacher evening, from 5pm. This is a very informal way for families to come in and see the school, and the classrooms. Oh, and to have a sausage in bread too!
Feel free to pop in and visit us throughout the year, we enjoy the odd visitor!

P.S. Go the All Blacks!
