We are so lucky ....

We are so lucky because Josh Coppins came to visit our class today when he was on holiday.

Josh is Bailey's Uncle.

We asked lots of questions.

Josh showed us the gear that he wears when he is racing. He told us that he gets lots of gear from his sponsors to wear. We even got to try on his gear (check out our slideshow further down our blog).

We got to have a photo with Josh, that was cool!

Miss T got one too!

Mask Parade

Room 1, 2 and 3 got together to make their masks and wings. It was a great time to get to know children in other classes.

Look how colourful our masks are.

We had fun showing the rest of the school our costumes and singing our chant.

When the big day arrived we were all feeling very nervous and excited!

Check out our cool new banner.

We enjoyed walking the streets of Nelson...

and singing our chant.

We had Birds....

butterflies and trees.

We had a ball!
Well done Room 3. It was fantastic to see all the effort you put into your masks and wings. You looked amazing!

Benjamin Bear, Spike and Stripes Holiday up North

Very exciting we are all packed and ready to go.

We had a great time in Auckland catching up with Miss T's friend Cassandra who is going to be a mum soon!

**********************

After Auckland we headed to Tauranga to see Nicky's Buddy Celeste (Miss Steer).

We had a great time. We climbed up Mt Maunganui which is 232 m to the summit

and looked out over the town.

What a great way to spend an evening with friends.

Benjamin Bear was being very brave and climbed to the top of this monument for a better view.

We sat and watched the view then headed back down the mountain.

Another day we walked around the circumference (3.4km) of Mt Maunganui and were lucky enough to see Orca Whales.

Miss T got in lots and lots of shopping! and loved her walks along the beach everyday.

***********

One day we drove to Rotorua. Benjamin Bear and Spikes were too scared to go up the Gondola, but there was no stopping Stripes.

This is Stripes in the Gondola. He found out that the Gondola is situated on Mt Ngongotaha which is 478 metres above sea level. The Gondola carries 8 people at a time and carries up to 2000 passengers per hour.

Stripes checking out the amazing view....

and being a speed racer on the luge.

The Luge is a world 'first' which was designed and built in Rotorua. Stripes enjoyed the scenic track which is 2km long. There is an Intermediate (1.7km ride) and an Advanced (1km) ride for the more experienced rider.

To get us back up the top of the Mountain for another ZOOM down the track, we got to go up in a chairlift.

All good things must come to an end though and Stripes enjoyed the ride down on the Gondola checking out the amazing view of Rotorua.

**********

It wouldn't be a trip to Tauranga without visiting our Pen Friend's classroom.

Miss Steer welcomed us in.

We had to check out the playground and ......

play, play ...

Play!

Miss Steer thought we were such great stars we got to sit in the 'Super Kid' chair.

This is us being good Students in Room 9 at Fairhaven Primary School.

We even got to check out the staffroom.

Wow! what a fantastic trip we have had...
full of adventure, laughs and memories.

We had so much fun but we also missed our friends in Room 3 and can't wait to get back from the holidays and catch up with you all.
But first we must catch up on our sleep! Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
